Rocky is a gorgeous 9+ year old Boxer mix. This handsome boy is a favorite of the kennel volunteers and is just so loving and thankful for any time he gets out of the kennel.
Unfortunately, Rocky has fallen on some hard times and now needs our help more than ever. He was diagnosed with a tumor behind his left eye, which is affecting his vision. The vet said that he does not know if Rocky has months or years left to live - it all depends on the progression of the tumor. Unfortunately, because of the location of the tumor, there are no treatment options available.
We cannot let Rocky live out the rest of his life at the kennel and so our search is on for a hospice foster or adopter. We are hoping that you can help us find him an angel that will let him live out the rest of his life in the comfort of a home.
Rocky has great house manners, is housebroken and does get along with other dogs, though a proper introduction is required. Because of Rocky's vision impairments, we recommend that he go to an adult only home that will understand that he may be scared by sudden movements. Rocky loves to go on walks and hikes, and he is great in the car! Please help make a miracle for Rocky by being his foster or forever home for the holidays.
Rocky has a very generous supporter who will sponsor his adoption fee for anyone who is interested in making him a member of their family permanently! EHR will pay for all medical costs for a hospice foster.
